About The Position

Pay: $16.95 per hour Warehouse Associate In our distribution center, our goal is to get products to our customers as quickly and efficiently as possible. Our Warehouse Associates focus on productivity, accuracy, and safety, taking great pride in the role they play within the Portmeirion Group family of brands. We are seeking motivated individuals to join our Warehouse team in Waterbury, CT. This is an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of logistics and warehousing while developing in-demand skills for a stable and rewarding career. Full-time positions offer competitive pay and exceptional benefits. Full-Time Opportunities Available Work is typically scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Overtime (paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate) applies to hours worked over 40 per week. Occasional weekend work may be required during month-end or special projects. What You’ll Do As a Warehouse Associate, you may work in a variety of roles, including: Order Picker Pull merchandise from stock to fulfill customer orders Transport product using a pallet or cart Use handheld scanners and paperwork Maintain high attention to detail and basic math accuracy Order Packer Inspect merchandise to ensure quality standards Pack products into approved shipping containers Utilize basic computer skills Receiver / Unloader Unload containers and trucks Palletize merchandise and count cartons Assist with receiving documentation Lift up to 50 lbs Forklift Operator Operate reach trucks, turret trucks, or sit-down forklifts Perform put-away, replenishment, loading, and unloading Powered Industrial Truck certification is a plus (training available) Janitorial Support Sweep floors and maintain cleanliness Break down and dispose of cardboard Stack pallets and empty trash Lift up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English (Spanish is a plus)
  • Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to bend, twist, stretch, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks and other materials handling equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Powered Industrial Truck certification is a plus (training available)
