Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • 0-2 year’s previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand and apply instructions in the English language.
  • Must be able to understand and comply with all laws governing the trucking and warehousing industry.
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations related to container quantities, blending, etc.
  • Must be a team player/team oriented
  • Must be available to work multiple shifts
  • Continuously be able to identify warehouse layout and assess clearance between objects.
  • Ability to see warning signals.
  • Ability to stand and walk, as constantly throughout the day.
  • Work requires exerting force frequently, and/or up to 55 pounds to constantly move objects, lift, carry and put away parcels.
  • All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing and sending inventory according to the SAP system and shipping schedules.
  • Loading orders onto trucks and shipping containers.
  • Unloading and organizing incoming stock.
  • Putting the appropriate labels on outgoing orders.
  • Packaging material off from a railcar or bulk truck into gaylords boxes using a pneumatic packaging system.
  • Assisting other team members as needed and leading or assisting with special assignments or tasks as requested.
  • Performing required pre-use inspections of equipment and providing required reports.
  • Monitoring hours of service accurately.
  • Providing outstanding customer service during the delivery and pick up operations.
  • Ensuring delivered goods correspond to products identified on the bill of lading.
  • During loading and unloading of truck process: checking weights of shipment and monitoring distribution weight to legal road limits, checking material for damage and quantity discrepancies, and engaging appropriate Nexeo Plastics team member if any discrepancies exist.
  • Picking up empty or partially empty drums, totes.
  • Reviewing paperwork to ensure transport of material is authorized and in compliance.
  • Operating forklift to pick material, store and stage material and bulk off load material from either bulk tank trucks or rail cars.
  • Performing any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations (e.g., warehouse clean up).
  • Attending and participating in training meetings.
  • Performing duties and tasks in a manner consistent with Business Responsibilities of Nexeo Plastics.
  • Special tasks as assigned.
