About The Position

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for various warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, putaway, replenishment, item demand, consolidation, count checks, and loading/unloading of trucks. This role is crucial for the efficient operation of the warehouse and ensuring timely delivery of products.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Experience working in a warehouse environment preferred
Proficient in the operation of Powered Industrial Trucks such as stand-up reach truck or other industrial equipment (i.e., double pallet jack) preferred
Warehouse Management System (i.e., WMS-HighJump/PeopleSoft) experience preferred
Experience with RF or Voice devices preferred
Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and professional interactive skills
Ability to effectively prepare and present reports and information and respond to questions from suppliers, customers, management and inter-department staff.
Understands team dynamics and works well within a team structure.
Capable of working with internal staff from other departments and shifts in a proactive and constructive manner.
Ability to build working relationships with internal business partners, vendors and customers.

Responsibilities

Unloading & loading of shipments using various powered industrial equipment.
Inspecting, counting, and examining all shipments being unloaded against POs for damages and/or discrepancies.
Documenting all overages, shortages, and damages.
Ensuring all necessary signatures are obtained on driver's paperwork before the driver is released.
Wrapping pallets by machine or hand to ensure stability.
Loading outbound shipments in a stable manner to ensure safety and avoid product damage.
Conveying items from the Receiving or Staging area to Home, Overflow, or Bulk locations (Putaway).
Conveying items from storage locations to Home/Bulk locations (Replenishment).
Consolidating like items in storage locations to maximize warehouse space.
Counting inventory to ensure product quantities are correct in locations.
Receiving product in accordance with correct associated PO numbers.
Completing discrepancy forms for any overages, shortages, or damages.
Breaking down & separating product by specific item numbers.
Selecting various orders within the warehouse.
Stacking product on pallets to be conveyed to the outbound staging area.
Checking pallets brought to the staging area for errors.
Adjusting pallet quantities from one pallet to another to ensure even weight distribution.
Cleaning dock areas & all assigned aisles in accordance with warehouse policy.
Complying with all Safety regulations and standards.
