About The Position

The Distribution Center positions are responsible for ensuring that material is readily available to send to branches. These positions must accurately and safely receive and store materials, maintain good housekeeping, as well as picking and packing orders for pickup and delivery to branches, ensuring Coburn’s exceptional standard of customer service. DC workers must also follow all company policies, procedures and Distribution Center Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred OR 2 years of experience in related industry
Successful passing of the company-issued aptitude test
Must possess basic computer skills
Ability to read a map and/or follow written directions
Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 75 lbs.
Must have physical mobility and dexterity to frequently stand, bend, push, twist, kneel, climb, squat, stoop, and reach overhead.
Must be able to be lifted to heights up to 25 feet.
Considerable mental/visual concentration, coordinating manual dexterity with mental/visual attention.
Must wear closed-toe shoes, gloves, and other protective items as required.
A consistent presence at work is required.
Minimum age of 18 years old to operate a forklift.
Successfully complete Coburn’s Forklift Operator Certification.

Responsibilities

Accurately and safely receive and store materials.
Maintain good housekeeping.
Pick and pack orders for pickup and delivery to branches.
Ensure Coburn’s exceptional standard of customer service.
Follow all company policies, procedures and Distribution Center Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Match all physical items shipped from the manufacturer with the invoice and properly and timely receive product in the CCS & WMS.
Ensure every item is in the proper place (bin/ shelf) where it can be efficiently gathered for shipping, with no injuries, near misses or damaged product.
Pull and confirm correct material before the deadline in a safe manner and stage in the appropriate area with no injuries, near misses or damaged product.
Prepare correct material for delivery with the proper documentation in a manner that is timely, free of injuries, near misses & damage to the product.
Develop and maintain knowledge to ensure competency and growth in their position.
