About The Position

Pennsylvania Steel Company, Inc. in Naugatuck, CT is seeking a full-time, permanent Warehouse Worker for their 1st Shift Receiver position. Pennsylvania Steel is a leading distributor of steel and aluminum, established in 1972, with 12 locations and a significant presence in the eastern United States. The position's objective is to contribute to company sales and profitability by performing various warehouse functions, including receiving and processing stock, picking and filling orders, preparing materials to customer requirements, and managing warehouse inventory.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 8-10 hours daily
• Must be able to read measuring equipment (tape measure, caliper and micrometer)
• Must have acceptable mathematical skills
• Must be willing to be trained and operate industrial equipment including saws, cranes, and forklifts
• Must be willing to work overtime when required

Nice To Haves

• Previous work experience receiving, loading/unloading material, packing, labeling or picking within a warehouse environment a plus

Responsibilities

• Receiving and processing incoming stock
• Preparing and completing customer orders, including pulling
• Loading delivery trucks for customer delivery
• Keeping a clean and safe working environment
