About The Position

Curtze Food Service in Erie, PA is seeking to hire a full-time Night Shift Warehouse Worker. This position works Sunday to Thursday, starting at 7 PM until selecting and other duties are complete. This role is vital to our team as accurately picking food orders and ensuring they are loaded correctly directly impacts our customer service levels. You will be responsible for stacking and organizing items on pallets according to established routing and stop labels in various warehouse storage areas, including dry, cool, and freezer sections. Additionally, you will wrap and load products based on their truck and stop criteria. This role involves operating pallet jacks, forklifts, and other equipment, and assisting with the training and development of new associates when needed. You will be part of a proactive team, taking pride in ensuring the right orders are delivered to clients on time.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of this position, including lifting between 40-60 lbs and sometimes up to 80 lbs, standing and walking throughout the entire shift, bending, twisting, and climbing.
  • Ability to work on non-forgiving surfaces such as concrete, wood, or metal that are sometimes wet or slippery.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures.
  • Ability to pass a pre-hire drug screen.
  • Ability to understand the slot-sequencing layout of the warehouse and labeling system.
  • Team player.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions well.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks accordingly.

Nice To Haves

  • Warehouse or electrical power equipment experience would be a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick food orders.
  • Take picked orders to the loading dock.
