About The Position

The Warehouse Worker I will manage receiving for the inbound trucks. This role involves managing the receiving process for inbound trucks, ensuring accurate quality and count verification of unloaded items, maintaining detailed receiving records, and handling discrepancies and damage claims. The position also includes transporting materials, loading trucks, performing clerical duties, and actively participating in required training and maintaining regular attendance.

Requirements

Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.
Basic understanding of dock and warehouse procedures.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.
Forklift Certification

Nice To Haves

Blueprint/Drawing reading
IPC/WHMA 620 Certified or any other IPC training

Responsibilities

Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers’ count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers, supervisor, and purchasing officer per company policy.
Carefully and accurately maintains Receiving records for requested categories including goods returned, dunnage, and returnable pallets.
Maintains database of receiving transactions.
Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments or damages.
Completes information on damage claims for in-transit damage.
Transports materials on shipping dock with a hand truck or other vehicle as needed.
Loads trucks using a forklift.
Performs other clerical duties.
Actively participate in all required training
Regular attendance at work
Perform other duties as assigned.
