About The Position

Penske Logistics is looking for a warehouse worker (clerk) to become part of an excellent team. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment.

Requirements

Bilingual in English and Spanish (Strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages)
Sound interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across groups and functions
Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
High School diploma or equivalent required
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.

Nice To Haves

Associates degree or equivalent experience, preferred
Previous experience in Transportation/Third Party Logistics discipline, preferred

Responsibilities

Handles documents for urgent shipments.
Requests shipment documents from GMM plants when not available.
Requests in bonds cancellations.
Works with warehouse workers to ensure that shipments are loaded timely and correctly.
Reports trailer information for shipments when requested.
Ensures that urgent loads are dispatched on time.
Completes daily hot sheets for designated GMM plants.
Attends daily conference calls with material follow up clerks located at every GMM plants.
Ensures that proper Mexico carrier is used for loads.
