About The Position

The Warehouse Utility 1 is responsible for the repack of products that have damaged packaging from trade or warehouse handling, maintaining a clean warehouse and sorting product or shells. This role involves identifying products in good sellable condition for repack, accounting for and reporting products for destruction or recycling, and following guidelines for repack processes including date coding, cleaning, taping, gluing, and testing package integrity. The position requires maintaining package quality and integrity efficiently, operating a pallet jack and forklift safely, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area. The role also includes loading miscellaneous items, stacking pallets and shells, and performing other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • Less than high school education; or up to 1-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and teamwork
  • Ability to provide quality management

Responsibilities

  • Identify products that are in good sellable condition to be included in the repack business process procedure
  • Account for and report all products that need to be destroyed and recuperated through the recycling process
  • Follow guidelines pertaining to the repack processes that include date coding, cleaning, taping, gluing, and testing package integrity
  • Maintain package quality and integrity while performing duties in a timely and efficient manner
  • Operate pallet jack and forklift in a safe and efficient manner
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area
  • Follows written and oral instructions
  • Loading miscellaneous items, stacking pallets and shells
  • Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
