This role coordinates the movement of molds, inserts, resins and maintains accurate inventory counts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and or equivalent work experience
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Previous material handling experience preferred
  • Previous inventory control and/or warehouse experience preferred
  • Able to become familiar with the many types of resins used in thermoplastic injection molding
  • Able to be licensed to operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, overhead crane hoist, etc.)
  • Able to work safely with sharp and heavy objects (utility knives, aluminum blocks, etc.)
  • Able to use a computer and calculator
  • Able to read and write in English, and do basic arithmetic
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
  • Able to use basic calipers and micrometer
  • Must be punctual and have good attendance
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Due to ITAR regulations, this role is only open to U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents (green card holders) or foreign nationals granted refugee or asylee status. Individuals with temporary visas (e.g. E, F-1, H-1, H-2, L, B, J, TN or OPT) are not eligible for hire in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve and store resin and molds.
  • Track down missing molds and materials.
  • Perform and record cycle counts. Track inventory quantities.
  • Retrieve and prepare resin for transfer to other plants. Calculate resin discrepancies.
  • Move and locate resin that has been transferred from other plants.
  • Organize the resin storage locations for maximum storage capacity.
  • Prepare molds and paperwork for transfer to other plants.
  • Transfer molds to a storage location.
  • Organize the mold storage locations for maximum storage capacity.
  • Move and locate molds that have been transferred from other plants.
  • Breakdown molds after sampling runs.
  • Perform incoming quality inspections on customer-supplied inserts per written work instruction.
  • Adhere to all quality and safety standards within the department.
