About The Position

Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a Warehouse Utility Worker to support our Metro NY Warehouse team. This role will be responsible for hand-building pallets of product for bulk, and route trucks. Each type of picking requires strict attention to order accuracy concerning building outgoing orders and unloading incoming trucks. Works from an Electronic order system or order sheets to build loads using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. The position is responsible for accuracy in picking/loading and complying with shipper/receiver documentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in warehouse work.
  • Previous warehouse experience (e.g., order selecting, product staging, powered pallet jack/forklift operation, etc.).
  • Proven experience operating a forklift, including tasks such as driving forward, reversing, lifting, and lowering the boom, and maneuvering in tight spaces without damaging products.
  • Experience working with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets, including placing pallets on or off vertical product racking systems and trucks, and maximizing vertical storage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment (e.g., cooperating with coworkers, problem-solving, etc.).
  • Strong productivity and accuracy skills, with a focus on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is essential.
  • Must be located in the Whitestone, NY surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment.
  • Willingness to be onsite at the manufacturing facility on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks for the duration of the shift, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting/moving items weighing 50 pounds or more.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Hand-building pallets of product for bulk and route trucks.
  • Building outgoing orders and unloading incoming trucks with attention to order accuracy.
  • Using an Electronic order system or order sheets to build loads using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack.
  • Ensuring accuracy in picking/loading and complying with shipper/receiver documentation.
  • Maintaining the stability of pallet stacking.
  • Operating a powered pallet jack or forklift to move products to the picking area and build pallets or loads according to load sheets or voice-pick audio equipment.
  • Marking load tickets for out-of-stock items.
  • Wrapping and staging completed pallets for truck loading.
  • Submitting order documentation for verification before loading trucks.
