About The Position

Bimbo Bakeries USA is seeking a Warehouse Utility/Transport Delivery Driver. This role involves maintaining customer relations, delivering and unloading products, picking up returns, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The driver will represent BBU as a leader in the baking industry, safely operate company trucks, complete DOT logs, and manage loading/unloading of trailers. Responsibilities also include accurate product counting, quality checks, record maintenance, and operating material handling equipment. The role may also involve troubleshooting packing equipment issues. Requirements

  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Class C License required.
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
  • Successfully able to obtain Chauffer License (If job location is in IN, MI, TN).
  • Maintain records required by the company and the FMCSR.
  • Consistent with United States Department of Transportation regulations, the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
  • Ability to lift, push/pull up to 50lbs, stack/unstack or carry, stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods of time.
  • Comfortable in a warm working environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to work Nights, Weekends & Holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain good customer relations and effective communication with team members.
  • Responsible for delivery and unloading of product to customers’ stockrooms.
  • Pick up return product and empty trays; transport and unload back at Sales Center.
  • Ensure that product distribution is accomplished to customer satisfaction and communicate any customer concerns/issues to BBU manager.
  • Represent BBU as a leader in the baking business.
  • Safely drive the company route truck and complete DOT (US Department of Transportation) daily logs.
  • Responsible for accurately loading and unloading trailers, verifying route load(s), trailer reports, and maintaining the shipping yard.
  • Count and check products for accuracy and quality, maintain accurate records, report overages and shortages, & participate in "Cycle Counts".
  • Operate material handling equipment, including pallet jack, forklift, etc.
  • Troubleshoot issues with packing equipment, label machines, tapers, palletizers, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
