Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant training experience in a warehouse; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience conducting training on warehouse equipment such as electric pallet jacks, reach truck forklift, sit down forklift and order picker.
  • Knowledge of safety compliance for operating equipment
  • PC literate to include proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to conduct training classes for audiences at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to develop, write and proof training materials.
  • Proven presentation and facilitation skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop training plans and processes to be implemented by Training Coordinators
  • Monitor training activities to ensure all weekly scheduled training is conducted.
  • Develops metrics to evaluate training effectiveness; modifies training content or delivery method to meet training objectives.
  • Develops new training programs when needed, such as related to Value Added Services
  • Compiled report on management of training statistics with recommendations for successful training activities
  • Supervises employees including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Develop metrics to evaluate training effectiveness; modifies training content or delivery method to meet training objectives.
  • Develop new training programs when needed, such as related to Value Added Services.
  • Compile a report for the management of training statistics with recommendations for successful training activities.
  • Other duties as required and assigned.
