About The Position

The Freezer Warehouse Trainee position is a full-time, entry level position. Trainees will learn aspects of warehousing through formal training and/or on the job experience. They will also learn to operate material handling equipment such as mid-rider pallet jacks and forklifts. Select customer orders using electronic technology and physical product handling. Load and unload product from transportation equipment. Safely operate material handling equipment. Repetitively lifting and stacking product. Working until the job is complete. Must be able to work night schedule.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass drug screen and physical exam.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to work in all temperature zones (including Freezer).
• Must be able to work overnights.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to work through a +10-12 hour shift.
• Must be able to learn the use of electronic technology.
• Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet and legs.
• Ability to repetitively lift / stack.
• Must be able to lift 30-60 lbs repetitively and heavier items weighing up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Must be able to bend at the waist; stoop to reach and squat to lift heavy items in a proper manner and operate lift assisting devices.
• Ability to operate heavy warehouse equipment, such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
• The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.
• Must be able to read numbers and product descriptions.
