About The Position

American Construction Materials (ACM), a strategic business unit of ABC Supply, produces a wide array of metal building materials including trim coil, edge metal, gutter systems, and a variety of other metal accessories. Requirements

• Forklift certification required
• High school education or GED equivalent.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to read, write clearly, and do simple math.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to work with others.
• Ability to stay organized and maintain a clean workplace.
• An orientation toward customer service is important.
• Experience working in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
• Flexibility to handle multiple tasks at once.
• Ability to be cross trained in multiple areas.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, build, and secure pallet orders.
• Move, stage, pull, and put away material.
• Use an LPN and DSI to manage movement of inventory and orders.
• Identify, inspect, label, and weigh (if needed) material for shipment.
• Ensure product and packing prepared for shipment meets our S.O.P standards.
• Complete picking documentation.
• Double check material pulled to verify correct quantity.
• Cross train and work in other departments as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse.
• Follow all safety requirements and regulations.
• Participate in ACM’s Safety and Behavior-Based Safety Programs.
• Engage in Continuous Improvement projects throughout the plant.
• Perform all other duties as assigned and directed.
