Requirements

  • Minimum three years of work experience in a warehouse or production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely operate material handling equipment, including a forklift.
  • Physical ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting, with working knowledge of safe lifting methods.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Strong basic mathematical skills, with the ability to accurately weigh and measure items.
  • Self-directed, with the ability to work successfully both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organizational abilities, time management, and prioritizing skills, with strong attention to detail in all areas of work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol and Fit-to-Work test up to 35 lb.
  • Ability to clear a Criminal Record Check and provide references.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, practices, and procedures related to Health and Safety, Food Safety, and the Environment.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of pallets for packaging lines, including cardboard and shrink wrap, and manage the stocking and removal of totes.
  • Receive packaged product from packaging lines for storage in the Warehouse.
  • Ensure adequate space is available for incoming packaged product.
  • Inspect packaged product from packaging lines to ensure the highest quality presentation.
  • Enter correct product information into the ERP system for production runs.
  • Load finished product onto trailers and prepare shipment paperwork using the computer/M3 system.
  • Ensure pallet license plates accurately display production lot number, product description and size, and best before date.
  • Collaborate with Packaging to address additional or non-regular product needs.
  • Assist in maintaining the Warehouse in a neat and orderly manner through good housekeeping fundamentals, including fixing broken bags, dumping garbage, and restacking pallets.
  • Assist fellow employees with their job duties when time permits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
