This individual will be responsible for ordering, receiving, documenting freight and packages, placing stock in proper areas, checking out stock to employees and overseeing inventory in warehouses. Also manage and place orders for future work. Key Responsibilities include Maintenance & Service (inspect, refill, and test fire extinguishers), Hydrotesting (assist with high-pressure hydrostatic testing of cylinders), Shop Support (clean, prep, recondition, and tag cylinders for service), Inventory & Shipping (load/unload trucks, receive deliveries, manage stock, and prepare equipment for field technicians), Customer Interaction (assist walk-in customers with drop-off/pick-up of extinguishers), and Compliance (maintain accurate service records and follow OSHA/DOT/NFPA regulations). Daily tasks include cleaning the warehouse, organizing inventory, putting up incoming inventory, processing returns and credits, pulling material for pick tickets, identifying low stock levels, assisting with will call pickups, operating forklifts, performing daily cycle counts, and helping with physical inventory. The role requires the ability to lift 50 to 75 lbs, dependable transportation, self-starter mentality, computer literacy for email and inventory programs, strong organizational and customer skills, ability to balance workload, good driving skills, and communication skills.
