About The Position

Sandvik Mining is looking for a Warehouse Technician in Brier Hill, PA. This role is responsible for the shipment, receipt, and distribution of materials in a timely and accurate manner. The technician will assist with shipping and receiving, unload trucks, check in materials, store them appropriately, and file documentation. They will also process sales orders and invoices according to company procedures. Sandvik is a global leader in mining and construction industries, focusing on automation, digitalization, electrification, and sustainability. This is an onsite, union-affiliated position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient computer skills (receiving orders / locating parts) or willing/eager to learn
  • Ability to successfully operate forklift – we will train, but need the physical ability to operate a fork lift.
  • Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States on an indefinite basis without employer sponsorship.

  • 6 months related warehouse experience

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain warehouse location system
  • Assist in cycle counting and physical inventory
  • Prepare export documentation as required
  • Maintain shipping supplies inventory
  • Arrange shipping/transport
  • Accept/reject vendor inventory transactions
  • Build sound relationships with the workshop team and internal and external customers to ensure smooth operations
  • Participate in customer on-call service as required
  • Expedite urgent orders to ensure customer receives when needed
  • Identify and report any unsafe work habits, workplace incidents and / or near misses
  • Comply with SMRT safety policies and applicable government, customer, or industry regulations or requirements
  • Accounts for all materials and supplies in the stores facilities; audits goods received into warehouse.
  • Oversees receipt, storage and shipment of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures.
  • Prepares and coordinates schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space.
  • Ensures the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment.
  • Performs other relevant duties as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor
