About The Position

Northern Star (Pogo) LLC has an opportunity for a Warehouse Technician at our Pogo operation in Alaska on a rotational camp schedule. The Warehouse Technician reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and the primary role is to provide warehouse services that ensure high quality supply, storage and distribution of goods in support of Company business activities. A strong focus on Internal Customer service supports the day-to-day needs of operational activities from the Warehouse area.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
1 year’s experience in relevant role, e.g. shipping/receiving goods/maintaining inventory.
Demonstrated competence with office processes, systems, equipment and software.
Computer literacy; proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail with exceptional organizational and time management skills to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
Must display initiative, be able to work independently and learn what is needed to perform required tasks.
Ability to get along with others as a team player, have an excellent work ethic, attendance record.
Current Driver’s License.
Be able to pass a background check and post offer physical.

Nice To Haves

Warehouse environment experience.
Experience operating forklift, articulating loaders, telehandler forklift.
Experience operating semi tractor trailer.
Current CDL.
Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in industry.
Experience in a highly regulated environmental industry.
Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
Awareness of the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Act & Regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate Inventory Systems
Receive/stock and direct charge materials
Maintain the surface warehouse, cold storage buildings, connex storages, pallet yards and other assigned inventory areas in a clean, safe and well organized manner
Perform inventory control and usage reporting
Schedule site wide logistics
Other duties as required
