Warehouse Technician, Government Secret Clearance Required
About The Position
General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Warehouse Technician to deliver valuable services and solutions to their customers. The Warehouse Technician will be responsible for shipping, receiving, and storing materials in a warehouse or storage facility, ensuring organization and accessibility. This role involves marking and tagging items, retrieving and transporting requested materials, and maintaining warehouse records. The technician will also develop and maintain efficient storage practices, potentially use an automated warehouse management system, and operate hand and power equipment, including forklifts, for material handling. Participation in special projects is also expected.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one (1) year of related warehouse experience.
- Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities
- Receives and stores materials in a warehouse or storage facility in an organized manner and convenient location for removal when needed.
- Marks or tags articles as necessary for identification purposes.
- Retrieves stored material when requested, transports it to the requester, and returns material to storage as required.
- Develops and maintains effective warehouse storage practices that promote efficient storage, identification and retrieval.
- Maintains warehouse and shipping records and may use automated warehouse management system.
- May operate hand and power equipment, including forklift, for material handling.
- Participates in special projects as required.
