About The Position

Accel Entertainment, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Technician to perform inspection, movement, cleaning, repair, preparation, installation, and decommissioning of gaming, amusement, ATM equipment, and other company assets. This role has a three-level progression (I, II, III) based on technical proficiency, experience, independence, quality, and team contribution. The company is a growing provider of gaming services and one of the largest terminal operators in the United States.

Requirements

At least 21 years of age
With training, ability to use hand tools, power tools, test equipment, forklifts, dollies, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
High school diploma or equivalent required (for Technician I)
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn electronic theory, equipment handling, and established repair procedures (for Technician I)
No prior gaming equipment experience required; 0-1 year of relevant technical, warehouse, mechanical, or equipment-maintenance experience preferred (for Technician I)
Two or more years of relevant experience repairing, maintaining, installing, or troubleshooting electronic, gaming, ATM, amusement, or similar equipment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience (for Technician II)
Demonstrated working knowledge of basic electronic theory and mechanics and proficiency with diagnostic tools and instruments (for Technician II)
Ability to independently complete routine diagnostics and repairs, manage competing priorities, and communicate technical issues clearly (for Technician II)
Able to obtain and maintain an Illinois Gaming Board Terminal Handler's License (for Technician III)
Class C Commercial Driver’s License (for Technician III)
Four or more years of progressive technical experience in gaming, ATM, amusement, electronics, or comparable equipment maintenance and repair; advanced technical training preferred (for Technician III)
Demonstrated expertise diagnosing and resolving complex equipment issues, applying sound judgment, and maintaining high quality and turnaround standards (for Technician III)
Experience coaching others, reviewing work quality, coordinating equipment or parts priorities, and contributing to process improvements or special projects (for Technician III)

Nice To Haves

Technical coursework, vocational training, or related warehouse/equipment experience preferred (for Technician I)
Forklift certified preferred (for Technician I)
Advanced technical training preferred (for Technician III)

Responsibilities

Performs warehouse and equipment-support functions including receiving, cleaning, staging, moving, loading, unloading, installing, and preparing video gaming terminals, ticket redemption machines, ATMs, amusement equipment, parts, and other company assets.
Performs basic equipment inspections, cleaning, parts removal, installation, and equipment disassembly/reassembly using established procedures.
Removes, replaces, and installs common equipment components and peripherals.
Safely operates and uses material-handling and labor-saving equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, and hand trucks.
Uses hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary to perform assigned duties.
Assists with equipment installations, removals, exchanges, and other field-related activities.
Completes assigned work accurately, maintains warehouse and work-area organization, and reports damaged equipment, safety concerns, and inventory needs.
Follows all department, company, safety, and gaming-regulatory procedures.
Provides professional internal and external customer service.
Inspects, tests, cleans, diagnoses, repairs, prepares, and decommissions equipment using established procedures and diagnostic tools.
Identifies and resolves common electronic, mechanical, peripheral, and configuration issues; completes routine repairs and escalates complex problems.
Has working knowledge of VGT and amusement equipment and performs troubleshooting.
Assists with equipment readiness and quality checks prior to deployment.
Leads field installations, removals, and exchanges, including equipment movement, setup, component installation, and technical support.
Coordinates parts and inventory needs and assists with maintaining efficient equipment flow.
Troubleshoots and resolves routine equipment and installation issues encountered at customer locations.
Documents completed work and identified equipment issues accurately and communicates technical information clearly.
Assists with training and development of lower-level technicians and models safe work practices.
Safely operates assigned company vehicles and maintains all required licenses and qualifications.
Leads complex deliveries, installs, removes, exchanges, and transports video gaming terminals and other assigned equipment at customer locations without direct supervision.
Independently performs equipment setup, installation, connection, testing, and verification.
Communicates professionally with customers and other stakeholders.
Performs and supports quality checks to ensure equipment is complete, operational, and ready for deployment.
Supports special projects, process improvements, equipment initiatives, and other warehouse or field activities.
