This role involves monitoring and operating advanced robotic systems, including order-picking gantry robotic systems and KUKA palletizing/depalletizing cells. The technician will be responsible for responding to system alarms, faults, and operational interruptions, performing fault recovery procedures, and monitoring equipment performance through HMI interfaces and system dashboards. Key duties also include verifying order accuracy, product flow, and pallet quality, assisting with system startups and shutdowns, and operating powered industrial equipment like reach trucks to manage inventory. The position requires completing inventory transactions using RF scanners and an Automated Warehouse Control System (AWCS), supporting inventory movements and cycle counts, and assisting Maintenance Technicians with preventive maintenance and repairs by placing robotic systems into designated operating modes. The technician will identify and communicate equipment faults, support equipment testing, document downtime events, and escalate concerns to the Robotics Systems Analyst. Responsibilities extend to responding to product jams, mispicks, conveyor obstructions, and various containment events such as paint leaks or damaged products. The role also includes performing spill containment and cleanup, maintaining housekeeping standards, adhering to all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and specific protocols like Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, and robotic cell safety. Following Alternative Control Procedures (ACP) when working inside robotic cells, verifying equipment modes, and maintaining clear communication with team members are crucial. The technician must report safety concerns immediately and conduct pre-trip inspections. Additionally, there is an expectation to train and develop other site resources as backup.
