About The Position

The Technical Trainer reports to the Production Training Manager within the Operations team at the US 5G Smart Factory. This role is essential to developing the front-line workforce by facilitating knowledge sharing, cross-functional communication, safety practices, and collaborative problem-solving to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Success requires strong communication abilities, leadership skills, training expertise, technical knowledge, and a commitment to safety and compliance within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This position supports the Warehouse functional area, working night shift—Monday through Thursday from 5:30pm-4:00am.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong facilitation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities
  • Ability to lead, coach, and motivate others with a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment documentation, operational work instructions, and process maps
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and basic Learning Management System administration
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic, high-tech manufacturing environments
  • Flexibility to work periodic shift hours as needed
  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional groups with diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and become certified as a forklift trainer

Responsibilities

  • Deliver targeted and general training to operators within the assigned functional area
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members to build capabilities and support continuous process improvement
  • Create training solutions in collaboration with supervisors, engineers, quality leads, operations management, and Learning Experience Designers
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts to validate the skills and expertise of operational employees
  • Ensure all programs and processes align with industry best practices, including ISO competence standards and Ericsson Environmental Health & Occupational Safety requirements
  • Maintain training plans, content accuracy, and reporting through the Learning Management System
  • Coordinate and communicate training schedules with stakeholders, operations leadership, production planners, and the training team
  • Maintain training equipment, including laptops and specialized tools or materials
  • Represent operator perspectives during work instruction reviews to ensure documentation meets end-user needs
  • Support cross-functional communication and safety compliance to drive operational excellence
  • Provide expert support to production teams when available
