About The Position
The Warehouse Tech position involves the operation of various machines, including six-ton or ten-ton overhead cranes and finning machines. Key responsibilities include loading and unloading materials onto and off of machines and semi-trailers, bending or finning tubing, and ensuring the quality of tubes being shipped out. The role also requires ensuring equipment is in safe operating condition, reviewing computerized work lists, locating available material, prioritizing orders, and communicating with other operators to formulate the run order of material. Daily Operational and Safety Checklists must be completed, and any necessary setup during the shift performed. The individual may also be required to fill in for other positions as needed and perform other assigned duties.
Responsibilities
- Operation of a variety of machines ranging from a six-ton or ten-ton overhead crane to a finning machine
- Loading/unloading materials onto/off of machines and semi-trailers
- Bending or finning tubing
- Ensuring quality of tubes being shipped out
- Ensure that the equipment is in a safe operating condition
- Reviews the computerized work list for the equipment, locate the available material and prioritizes the orders to be processed
- Communicates with the other operators to formulate the run order of material
- Loads/unloads various machines to include conveyors
- Completed daily Operational and Safety Checklists
- Performs any necessary set-up during shift
- May be required to “fill-in” for other positions when there is a need
- Performs other duties as assigned
