About The Position

The Warehouse Technician is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient handling, storage, and movement of materials and finished goods within Webco’s manufacturing and distribution operations. This role ensures production continuity, supports shipping and receiving processes, and maintains inventory integrity to meet customer requirements. The Warehouse Technician contributes to a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or material handling.
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and/or overhead cranes (certification preferred or trainable).
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse systems and scanners.
• Physical capability to lift 50+ lbs., stand/walk for extended periods, and work in varying temperatures.

Nice To Haves

• OSHA forklift certification or equivalent.
• Experience in metals, tubing, or industrial manufacturing environments.
• Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Epicor, Oracle) for warehouse and inventory management.
• Familiarity with Lean practices such as 5S, standard work, or continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, and stage materials and products using forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, or other equipment as required.
• Accurately receive, label, store, and retrieve raw materials and finished goods using inventory systems.
• Assist with staging, packing, verifying, and documenting shipments per internal and customer specifications.
• Conduct routine inventory counts; investigate and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Record material movements, inventory transactions, and shipping/receiving data in ERP or warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform pre-use inspections and routine maintenance on material handling equipment.
