About The Position

Hajoca Corporation is seeking a Warehouse Teammate for their Costa Mesa, CA location. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate fulfillment of customer orders and maintaining warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be safety and service-oriented with a high attention to detail. Hajoca is a large, privately-held wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies, operating in a decentralized environment where each location functions as a Profit Center (PC).

Requirements

1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred
Outstanding customer service and communication skills
Ability to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers
Ability to apply and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment
Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment
Ability to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for warehouse operations
Read, write, speak, and understand English
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Responsibilities

Counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material.
Stocking and maintaining the warehouse; picking, documenting, and packing customer orders.
Handling shipping discrepancies per procedures or forwarding appropriate paperwork.
Identifying nonstock, special-order material, and damaged material and storing them in proper warehouse locations.
Completing necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier.
Loading and unloading trucks, operating warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
Informing immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise.
Ensuring security and controls are in place to protect Profit Center assets.
Maintaining warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety, including removing debris and reporting safety issues.
Assisting co-workers in servicing customers.
Performing all job functions in accordance with the company’s Safety Standards.
Successfully completing required safety and compliance training programs.
Performing other reasonably related duties as assigned.
