About The Position

This role is for a Warehouse Teammate who thrives on providing excellent customer experience, is safety and service-oriented, and possesses the attention to detail necessary for accurate order fulfillment. The Warehouse Teammate will be responsible for counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material. They will stock and maintain the warehouse, and pick, document, and pack customer orders in accordance with Company policy and procedure. The role requires a high attention to detail to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include handling shipping discrepancies, identifying and storing nonstock, special-order, and damaged material, and completing necessary documentation for third-party carrier shipments. The Teammate will also load and unload trucks, operate warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely, and inform supervisors of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged merchandise. Security and asset protection are key, as is maintaining warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety. Assisting co-workers and performing all job functions in accordance with Safety Standards and completing required training are also part of the role. Other reasonably related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
  • Possess outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Know of, be able to apply and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment.
  • Be able to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment in use at the Profit Center.
  • Be able to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for warehouse operations.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred
  • Be able to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center.

Responsibilities

  • Counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material.
  • Stocking and maintaining the warehouse.
  • Picking, documenting, and packing customer orders in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
  • Acting with a high attention to detail to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Handling all shipping discrepancies per procedures or forwarding appropriate paperwork to designated employee to handle.
  • Identifying nonstock, special-order material, and damaged material and storing in proper warehouse locations.
  • Completing necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier.
  • Loading and unloading trucks.
  • Operating warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Informing immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise that could impact customer service levels.
  • Ensuring security and controls are in place and upheld to protect Profit Center assets.
  • Maintaining warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety.
  • Removing empty cartons, metal bands, pallets, and other debris.
  • Informing immediate supervisor of safety issues.
  • Assisting co-workers in servicing customers.
  • Performing all job functions in accordance with the company’s Safety Standards.
  • Successfully completing required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
  • Performing other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
