Hajoca Corporation is one of the country’s largest privately-held wholesale distributors of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies. All Tex Pipe & Supply is one of those trade names and is looking for a Warehouse Teammate at their Dallas, TX location. This role is for an individual who thrives on providing an excellent customer experience, is safety and service-oriented, and possesses the attention to detail necessary to ensure the accurate fulfillment of customer orders.

Requirements

  • 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
  • Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Knowledge of, ability to apply and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment.
  • Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment in use at the Profit Center.
  • Ability to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for warehouse operations.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

  • Counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material.
  • Stocking and maintaining the warehouse; and picking, documenting, and packing customer orders in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
  • Acting with a high attention to detail to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Handling all shipping discrepancies per procedures or forwarding appropriate paperwork to designated employee to handle.
  • Identifying nonstock, special-order material, and damaged material and storing in proper warehouse locations.
  • Completing necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier.
  • Loading and unloading trucks, operating warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Informing immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise that could impact customer service levels.
  • Ensuring security and controls are in place and upheld to protect Profit Center assets.
  • Maintaining warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety. Removing empty cartons, metal bands, pallets, and other debris. Informing immediate supervisor of safety issues.
  • Assisting co-workers in servicing customers.
  • Performing all job functions in accordance with the company’s Safety Standards.
  • Successfully completing required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
  • Performing other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
