Gorman Company, a trade name of Hajoca, is seeking a Warehouse Teammate for its Jacksonville, FL location. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive on providing excellent customer experiences, are safety and service-oriented, and possess the attention to detail needed for accurate order fulfillment.

Requirements

  • 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
  • Possess a proper and valid driver’s license
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Able to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center.

  • Able to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material.
  • Stocking and maintaining the warehouse; picking, documenting, and packing customer orders in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
  • Acting with a high attention to detail to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Handling all shipping discrepancies per procedures or forwarding appropriate paperwork to the designated employee.
  • Identifying nonstock, special-order material, and damaged material and storing them in proper warehouse locations.
  • Completing necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier.
  • Loading and unloading trucks, operating warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Informing immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise that could impact customer service levels.
  • Ensuring security and controls are in place and upheld to protect Profit Center assets.
  • Maintaining warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety, including removing empty cartons, metal bands, pallets, and other debris. Informing immediate supervisor of safety issues.
  • Assisting co-workers in servicing customers.
  • Performing all job functions in accordance with the company’s Safety Standards.
  • Successfully completing required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
  • Performing other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
