About The Position

This role is for a Warehouse Teammate who thrives on providing excellent customer service, is safety and service-oriented, and possesses the attention to detail necessary for accurate order fulfillment. The Warehouse Teammate will be responsible for various warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping customer orders. They will ensure accuracy, maintain customer satisfaction, handle shipping discrepancies, identify and store specific types of material, and complete necessary documentation for shipments. The role also involves operating material handling equipment, monitoring stock levels, protecting company assets, maintaining warehouse cleanliness and safety, and assisting co-workers. All job functions must be performed in accordance with the company's Safety Standards, and employees must complete required safety and compliance training.

Requirements

  • 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, order picking, and material handling
  • Experience using RF scanners and warehouse inventory systems
  • Possess outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center.
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Know of, be able to apply and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment.
  • Able to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment in use at the Profit Center.
  • Able to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material.
  • Stocking and maintaining the warehouse.
  • Picking, documenting, and packing customer orders in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
  • Acting with a high attention to detail to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Handling all shipping discrepancies per procedures or forwarding appropriate paperwork to designated employee to handle.
  • Identifying nonstock, special-order material, and damaged material and storing in proper warehouse locations.
  • Completing necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier.
  • Loading and unloading trucks, operating warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Informing immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise that could impact customer service levels.
  • Ensuring security and controls are in place and upheld to protect Profit Center assets.
  • Maintaining warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety. Removing empty cartons, metal bands, pallets, and other debris.
  • Informing immediate supervisor of safety issues.
  • Assisting co-workers in servicing customers.
  • Performing all job functions in accordance with the company’s Safety Standards.
  • Successfully completing required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
  • Performing other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
