Hajoca Corporation is one of the country’s largest privately-held wholesale distributors of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies. Moore Supply Company is one of those trade names and is looking for a Warehouse Teammate at their Dallas, TX location. This role is responsible for counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material. The Warehouse Teammate will stock and maintain the warehouse, and pick, document, and pack customer orders in accordance with Company policy and procedure. This role requires a high attention to detail to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction. The Warehouse Teammate will handle shipping discrepancies per procedures or forward appropriate paperwork to designated employee to handle. They will identify nonstock, special-order material, and damaged material and store in proper warehouse locations. The role also involves completing necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier, and loading and unloading trucks, operating warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely. The Warehouse Teammate will inform their immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise that could impact customer service levels. They will ensure security and controls are in place and upheld to protect Profit Center assets, and maintain warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety. This includes removing empty cartons, metal bands, pallets, and other debris, and informing their immediate supervisor of safety issues. The Warehouse Teammate will assist co-workers in servicing customers and perform all job functions in accordance with the company’s Safety Standards. Successfully completing required safety and compliance training programs as assigned is also part of the role, along with performing other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

Requirements

  • 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
  • Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Knowledge of, ability to apply and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment.
  • Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment in use at the Profit Center.
  • Ability to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for warehouse operations.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities
