About The Position

We are seeking a safety and service-oriented Warehouse Teammate/Picker with excellent customer service skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders. In this role, you will be responsible for various warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping customer orders. You will also operate material handling equipment, maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety, and assist co-workers and customers as needed. Successful completion of safety and compliance training is required.

Requirements

1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
Possess outstanding customer service and communication skills.
Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
Know of, be able to apply and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment.
Be able to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment in use at the Profit Center.
Be able to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for warehouse operations.
Read, write, speak, and understand English.
Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred
Be able to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center.

Responsibilities

Counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material.
Stocking and maintaining the warehouse; and picking, documenting, and packing customer orders in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
Handling shipping discrepancies per procedures or forwarding appropriate paperwork to designated employee.
Identifying nonstock, special-order material, and damaged material and storing in proper warehouse locations.
Completing necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier.
Loading and unloading trucks, operating warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
Informing immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise.
Ensuring security and controls are in place and upheld to protect Profit Center assets.
Maintaining warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety, including removing debris.
Assisting co-workers in servicing customers.
Performing all job functions in accordance with the company’s Safety Standards.
Successfully completing required safety and compliance training programs.
Performing other reasonably related duties as assigned.
