Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
  • 1-3 months related experience required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Basic computer knowledge required. Must be able to utilize database software, inventory software, order-processing systems, and word-processing software.
  • Must be able to regularly lift/move 50-75 pounds, and occasionally lift/move 75-100 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Read customer orders, vendor packing slips, transfers, and RGAs to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Convey materials and items from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or convey orders to packing station or shipping department.
  • Mark materials with identifying information.
  • Pack and verify customer orders.
  • Verify amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Relay discrepancies to proper personnel.
  • Count or measure items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Use computer to enter records or reference stock.
  • Drive vehicle to deliver orders to customers.
  • Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
  • Prepare parcels for shipment.
  • Maintain inventory records.
  • Maintain cleanliness of facility and grounds.
  • Must have knowledge of Quality Standards and safety measures.
  • May be responsible for cycle count.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
