About The Position

Sadler’s Furniture is seeking a Warehouse Team Member. We warehouse and deliver furniture for locally owned retail stores. Responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and picking merchandise. Preparing items for pick-up and assisting customers with loading their merchandise. Sadler’s is part of Furniture Enterprises of Alaska, Inc., which is the largest locally owned furniture retailer that has been serving Alaskan communities for over 50 years. Our other stores include Sadler’s Outlet, Ashley, La-Z-Boy. Williams and Kay, The Ultimate Mattress Store, and Mattress Firm. We believe it is important to provide a safe and positive workplace. Requirements

Upon job offer, must be able to pass a background check and drug & alcohol test prior to starting employment.
Must be 21 years of age.
Lift between 70-100 lbs. consecutively.
Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for the entire shift.
Ability to operate warehouse tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

Transferring Merchandise in the Warehouse – Shipping/Receiving
Assisting with customer pick-ups.
Operating Company Equipment in a safe and courteous manner.
Pulling of merchandise to/from the warehouse and showroom floor.
Set up and take down displays.
Arranging furniture/product for displays, including but not limited to hanging art, lighting.
Complete paperwork for items moving on/off the showroom floor and in warehouse.
Communicating with supervisors, and other team members in a professional manner.
Effectively following company policies and procedures and continually improving efficiencies.
Keeping work area clean & safe
Other duties as assigned.
