Warehouse Team Leader- Focus on LTL/Shipping
About The Position
The Warehouse Team Lead plays an integral role in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse, overseeing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. This position involves coordinating the daily activities of warehouse personnel and ensuring the accuracy of shipments and inventory. By maintaining a clear line of communication between warehouse staff and management, the warehouse lead ensures that operations run efficiently and effectively. Through their leadership, they support the overall objectives of the warehouse, ensuring that all orders are fulfilled on a timely basis.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience in logistics warehouse environment
- 1+ years’ experience leading teams and projects
- High school diploma, GED, or education in logistics or supply chain
- Forklift machinery certification
Responsibilities
- Acting in a team lead capacity over a specific function of the logistics operation.
- Training staff on specific responsibilities and tasks.
- Supporting various human resources tasks such as attendance and day-to-day performance.
- Communicating customer needs and updates effectively to logistics department.
- Communicating potential temporary associate needs to Account Lead or Supervisor.
- Assisting with overseeing inventory of customer products and warehouse equipment and supplies.
- Assisting with overseeing the receiving, shipping, picking, packing, VAS, and other departments, as instructed.
- Completing day-to-day operations in the warehouse as needed, including receiving, shipping, picking, packing, VAS, and other departments.
- Adhering to and enforcing safety standards set by company and OSHA.
- Performing additional duties as assigned
