About The Position

As a Warehouse Team Lead, you are pivotal in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient material handling, inventory accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols. Leading a team of material handlers and forklift operators, you coordinate logistics activities, manage documentation, and facilitate training to maintain high performance standards. Your role bridges the gap between warehouse staff and management, fostering effective communication and operational excellence.

Demonstrated ability to motivate, guide, and develop warehouse personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
Skilled in organizing, prioritizing, and delegating tasks to optimize workflow and meet operational targets
Effective in conveying information clearly and concisely to team members and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding
Proficient in operating and overseeing the use of material handling equipment (MHE), including forklifts, and ensuring compliance with safety standards
Capable of identifying product defects and implementing standard inspection procedures to maintain quality standards
Meticulous in monitoring operations to ensure accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment
Committed to enforcing safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment in accordance with OSHA and company-specific regulations
Adept at managing time effectively to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple responsibilities
Advanced Leadership, experience in leading teams, providing direction, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), proficient in utilizing WMS, TMS, YMS, and ERP systems for inventory tracking, order processing, and logistics coordination
Computer Literacy, competent in using basic computer applications for reporting, communication, and data analysis
RF Scanner Operation, skilled in using radio frequency scanners for accurate inventory and order processing
Material Handling Equipment Knowledge, understanding of various MHE types and their capabilities, ensuring proper usage and maintenance
Supplier Communication, ability to negotiate and coordinate with contractors and suppliers to promote efficient operations
2+ Years in warehouse operations, with demonstrated leadership experience preferred
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Computers skills

Forklift Operation certifications and familiarity with safety regulations are plus

Responsibilities

Monitor inventory levels, ensuring accurate receiving, storing, picking, and shipping processes to maintain inventory accuracy.
Provide comprehensive handovers to incoming shift leaders, communicating key information and ongoing issues to ensure continuity.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with departments such as production, quality control, transportation, and customer service.
Deliver regular updates and reports on shift performance, issues, and achievements to warehouse management.
