The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for coordinating operational functions of daily production. Included in the daily activities are training and developing employees through a balanced approach of safety, quality, delivery and cost. This role executes plans, distributes work assignments, and utilizes personal experience to assist warehouse/distribution employees with daily responsibilities. Lead will occasionally operate equipment to support deliveries and backfill employee time-off, as needed. The Team Leader encourages team effort and supportive attitudes between employees. Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) and SAP.
Must be able to physically lift, push, pull or carry products weighing up to 30 lbs

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience as a team lead.
Experience with ISO standards, ISO 13485 preferred.
Lean and continuous improvement experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Proactively identifies risks and implements countermeasures to ensure a safe work environment for all team members.
Maintain safe and healthy work environment by understanding and enforcing EH&S policies.
Report near misses and accidents including recommended corrective actions.
Communicate with supervisor/management when issues arise.
Assist in training product specific procedures and maintain training records.
Helps to identify potential non-conforming material problems, recommends preventative measures, and implements quality improvements.
Compliance with quality systems as required and follow defined reaction plans to protect the customer.
Coordinate with supply chain & supervision/management to ensure job completion in a timely manner to meet internal and external customer requirements.
Help meet delivery schedules by performing packaging work, backfilling during employee time-off, coordinating overtime and adjusting labor plans.
Ensure accurate inventory counts for raw materials/finished goods, coming to and leaving the department.
Help keep localized warehouse organized to maximize workflow, supply machines/cells with raw material and monitor inventory for level loading of the production.
