About The Position

The Warehouse Team Lead oversees the handling of customer products in the Outbound department, including loading and unloading. The role assigns work to warehouse associates to meet customer needs, supervises their tasks, and supports warehouse functions when assistance is needed. The lead is expected to follow and promote company and site-specific safety policies and procedures.

The position works Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The warehouse may be non-air-conditioned or heated, so indoor temperatures fluctuate with the seasons. Additional duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to perform physically exerting duties in a warehouse environment that may not be air-conditioned or heated.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree (AA).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Previous leadership experience.
• Experience working with a warehouse management system (WMS).
• Forklift certificate and/or license.

Responsibilities

• Assign warehouse personnel tasks through written or oral instructions, including unloading, outbound staging and loading, freight verification, and labeling.
• Operate material-handling equipment (MHE).
• Supervise tasks performed by warehouse personnel.
• Complete reports and records in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot machine and equipment malfunctions and report them to maintenance personnel.
• Advise associates on product care and preservation and the use of equipment for handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock.
• Support associates with warehouse functions to ensure high-quality customer service.
• Address situations where associates are not following safety, quality, or productivity procedures.
• Work cooperatively and productively with other warehouse associates.
• Follow company or site-specific safety policies and guidelines to ensure safe working conditions for self and others.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
