Requirements

  • Strong communication skills
  • Reading, writing, and math skills commensurate with job duties
  • Ability to read, speak, and/or comprehend English
  • Business knowledge of department’s production goals and safety/quality standards
  • Skills to work cross-functionally throughout the business as needed
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead, teach, and motivate others on standards policies and procedures to achieve a specific goal
  • Lifting, carrying, sitting, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, walking, bending, twisting.
  • Standing on a fatigue mat in a specific area throughout a 10 hour+ shift.
  • Regularly lift/move up to 50lbs.
  • Standing for 8 hours a day or longer.
  • Ability to work in an environment with repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, and elbows.
  • Physical strength and dexterity to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Differentiate several types of material and inspect all component parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Support team leads in ensuring proper workflow through each department.
  • Aid and assist team leads as needed.
  • Help achieve daily department production goals, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Motivate and encourage all team members to achieve hourly, daily, and weekly goals.
  • Help the team lead develop and implement daily quotas and production goals.
  • Understand team member training levels and skills to efficiently move personnel cross-functionally based on department needs.
  • Know and understand the entire process of the department and be able to correct any potential setbacks that may arise.
  • Identify problems before they make it to the team lead and try to minimize impacts to production.
