The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for establishing operational procedures for warehouse activities, including verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, material handling, and maintaining accurate inventory. This role involves working with other department managers to ensure seamless coordination of warehouse operations with other functions such as production, customer service, and purchasing. The supervisor will oversee all shifts to stimulate maximum efficiency and productivity, manage personnel including hiring, training, discipline, and appraisals, and maintain payroll and absenteeism reports. Additionally, the position requires generating productivity reports, adhering to budget requirements, conducting warehouse audits for inventory control and regulatory compliance, and directing all finished goods, raw materials, salvage, and damaged material disposition. The role also coordinates truck driver flow, recommends equipment upgrades and preventative maintenance, suggests material handling and technology improvements, and is responsible for building and content security. Effective management of the WMS is crucial for process compliance and accurate material consumption. The supervisor must observe all safety rules, use proper safety equipment, and perform other duties as necessary, while adhering to GMP and ISO regulations.
