About The Position

Pennsylvania Steel Company, Inc. is seeking a hardworking and driven Warehouse Supervisor to lead their third shift at the Naugatuck, CT location. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a dependable and hands-on individual looking for a rewarding career with an established company. The company has been in business since 1972 and has multiple locations on the east coast, becoming one of the largest Steel Service Centers in the eastern United States.

Requirements

Minimum 2 to 4 years’ Supervisory experience
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, interpret and evaluate procedures and specifications.
Highly disciplined, problem-solver, logical thinking, troubleshooting team player with a strong work ethic.
Self-Motivated & Dependable.
Basic arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions required.
Excellent communication skills
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree preferred.
Forklift operations desirable & working in a warehouse environment

Responsibilities

Provides direct supervision and guidance to 3rd shift team.
Provides disciplinary action recommendations, as well as performance evaluation.
Assure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Assist with loading of trucks for material delivery.
Assure work order related documents are completed correctly and on time.
Exercise sound judgment and leadership for quality decisions.
Utilize effective judgment in notification of serious matters related to safety, personnel or operational emergencies.
Supervising material handler in metals processing and distribution work.
Specialized equipment operation and/or supporting functions in loading trucks.
