About The Position

Miller International, Inc., is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor at our Distribution Center in Memphis. This is an opportunity to work for a stable and growing company. The role involves a hands-on leadership position with visibility and autonomy in a new warehouse, offering the chance to shape operations, drive efficiency, and build a strong, safety-focused team from the ground up.

Requirements

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Thorough working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook programs.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that enables you to get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Perform receiving, shipping, stocking/inventory, and general warehouse functions. May include either international or domestic receipts or shipments.
  • Operate material handling equipment and possess and maintain required certifications if needed.
  • Understand and direct all functions of the DC when required.
  • Coordinate all functions of the DC to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction, both internal and external.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and secure work environment and ensure that subordinate employees are in compliance with company and department safety polices.
  • Manage team performance, provide adequate training for employees, coach, counsel, motivate, and evaluate employees.
