About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. In this role as a Warehouse Supervisor, you will provide primary leadership for the DKC warehouse operation. The individual will be focused on driving process improvements throughout the DKC operation in addition to overseeing a team of approximately 50 people.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Three (3) years of experience in Distribution, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing leadership roles in a private, public, government or military environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Willingness to continuously learn Operational best practices, automation trends, analytics to drive operational efficiencies.
  • Five (5) years of experience in Distribution, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing leadership role in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience working in an automated warehouse environment.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience working with Labor Management programs.
  • Skills include public speaking, conflict resolution, time management, team building, data analysis, and knowledge of all warehouse processes.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adopt operational best practices, stay updated on automation trends, and utilize analytics to drive operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead 50+ production hourly employees on the 3rd shift.
  • Oversee and follow the JDA Labor Management Standards program daily routines to ensure optimal labor utilization and efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze labor performance data and other KPI dashboards to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement process improvements in Safety, Quality, and Productivity at the DKC Distribution Center in DeKalb, IL.
  • Determine staffing deployments and task prioritizations for the shift.
  • Identify and lead Lean Six Sigma annual cost savings goals and leads the 3rd Shift Crew in Lean Management System Tier meetings.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments across several shifts and buildings.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and security standards.
  • Contribute to a strong Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) culture by following safety policies, identifying hazards, and engaging in continuous improvement.
