Warehouse Supervisor - 2nd shift
About The Position
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all warehouse activities and controls, providing direction and leadership to warehouse personnel. This role involves leading the warehouse team, assisting with receiving and inventory control, pulling production materials, entering data into the computer system, and preparing the warehouse for physical inventory. The supervisor is accountable for the accuracy of inventory counts, maintaining organization and cleanliness, processing and stocking releases, pulling orders, identifying and resolving problem orders, and preparing orders for shipment.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years lead experience in a warehouse setting
- Minimum of 1-2 years of supervisory experience
- High school diploma required
- Excellent skills in Warehouse management
- Excellent skills in ERP
- Excellent skills in Inventory
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think on your feet
Nice To Haves
- BS degree preferred
- Knowledge of electronics is preferred
Responsibilities
- Control of physical inventory
- Understanding and executing inventory transactions in SAP system
- Completing all documentation regarding goods received, noting shortages, damage and exceptions
- Maintaining all necessary files
- Verifying that signed purchase orders are available for all products received
- Ensuring accuracy of picking and kitting orders
- Scheduling the receiving and delivery of raw materials/finished products in a timely manner
- Providing accurate and timely departmental reports
- Directing warehouse personnel regarding expected shipments to be received and related tasks to be completed
- Receiving incoming materials or equipment, examining contents to verify against invoice or bill of lading, and noting obvious damage
- Maintaining all housekeeping and safety standards
- Ensuring that all raw materials and full goods are properly stored and protected
- Improving plant audit performance and work environment
- Instructing and training all warehouse personnel in proper procedures and regulations
- Training and motivating front-line employees through effective communication
