About The Position

The primary objective of this role is to supervise the overall warehouse operations and daily activities of staff. Oversees receiving and stowing, picking and packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation. Optimizes efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space. Monitors the safety and security of goods and materials. Utilizes a warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP), or other system to track and analyze processes and performance. Implement strong safety policies and procedures. Supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of equivalent experience in Warehouse Management required.
  • 6-10 years of experience in related area required in food manufacturing preferred.
  • 2-4 years Supply Chain experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversee receiving and dispatching procedures for shipments.
  • Assigns workloads and daily tasks to Warehouse Associates.
  • Communicating with customers to answer shipping and receiving questions and troubleshoot problems.
  • Monitoring inventory and shipment transactions for accuracy.
  • Ensuring inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained.
  • Monitoring Warehouse Associates to ensure safety procedures are being followed when operating forklifts and other machinery.
  • Oversee the warehouse operations team to ensure shipments and receipts are timely and accurate.
  • Oversee the training and development of warehouse employees.
  • Ensure that the warehouse team is following all safety rules and regulations.
  • Minimize the loss of inventory due to poor practices on the organizations part by ensuring that cycle counts are completed as required.
  • Work with BNA Inventory manager to ensure that inventories are accurate.
  • Review current processes and adjust based on best practices.
  • Assist Logistics Manager and plant management with measurement and documentation of BNA KPI’s; establish and complete as required (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
  • Report findings of cycle count results to plant management and BNA Inventory Manager.
  • Ensure proper product flow to make sure that all inbound receipts and outbound shipments are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that there is no production downtime due to warehouse inability to provide materials.
  • Collaborate with production and supporting departments to ensure the food safety and quality of our products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
