The Warehouse Supervisor is a hands-on leader committed to team safety and product quality. This role leads a team of Warehouse Technicians, ensures accurate inventory management, oversees all inbound and outbound shipments, upholds sanitation standards, and drives accountability through strong documentation and processes. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, and material handling
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of Company personnel and others.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with safety training and compliance (forklift, OSHA)
  • Experience with small package and/or LTL shipping.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly, and occasionally more with assistance
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling tools and machinery
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed
  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures (hot, cold, humid)
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots
  • Visual and auditory ability to detect safety hazards and machine malfunctions
  • Ability to push, pull, squat, kneel, or twist as needed during shift
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions consistently and safely
  • May be required to sit or operate forklifts or machinery for extended periods

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a Safe People and Safe Food environment in compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with other departments and working in a team-oriented environment.
  • Conducting warehouse and daily warehouse inspections to ensure warehouse accuracy and highlight areas of concern that need to be addressed.
  • Overseeing warehouse cleanliness and sanitation documentation.
  • Maintaining operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Performing cycle counts and/or annual physical inventories using inventory system reports, inventory software and count sheets to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Salvaging damaged or used materials.
  • Allocating product and generating necessary documentation for all outbound shipments.
  • Ensuring Warehouse Technicians receive, store, and load food products and support goods in accordance with established company standards and procedures and within budgeted guidelines and dispatch accuracy and time goals.
  • Ensuring all daily documentation pertaining to department tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly.
  • Training new employees on warehouse policy and procedures.
  • Coaching team members that are and are not meeting their performance goals, rewarding team members for good performance, and completing performance appraisals.
