About The Position

Supervises warehousing activities for Sales Center by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisor(s). Implements operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of product and materials (includes outdated, damaged, and pilfered inventory). Loads and unloads material onto or off skids, pallets or trucks with forklift and other lifting devices. Confers with warehouse manager and department heads, when appropriate, to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing. Inventories route truck haul-backs and reconciles with ending load sheet. Maintains warehouse inventory and floors in clean and orderly condition. Empties trash containers. Secures building by locking doors, turning off lights and activating alarm at the end of the night shift. Participates in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities. Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.

Requirements

  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit and use hands to handle or feel.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
