LGS SUPERVISOR FT CHIPS Overnight Shift 9pm - 5:30am
About The Position
The Supervisor will supervise employees at a Surface Transfer Center (STC) for the US Postal Service under contract with LGSTX Distribution Services, Inc. (LDS). Responsibilities will include ensuring accurate, timely sorting of mail by employees, performing supervisory functions including staffing, personnel interviewing, selection, training, rewards/discipline, performance reviews, attendance, timekeeping and safety compliance. The role also involves maintaining effective communication regarding operational requirements to employees, being responsible for operational policy communication and problem resolution, and assisting Manager and Shift Managers of STC as necessary.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- At least 2 years of freight, logistics, distribution or warehouse operations supervisory experience
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
- The ability to work in partnership with corporate LGSTX teams including Executive Management, Human Resources, Safety and Training.
- Proficient with PC using Microsoft Office software
- Working knowledge of regulations governing government contractors and applicable state and federal laws
- Ability to lead a safe work facility by applying company, state and federal safe practices, policies and regulations
- Must be able to work flexible hours as needed to support a 24/7 operation
- The ability to work in a startup operations environment
- The ability to lift objects weighing up to 35 lbs
- Ability to pass a federal background check and drug test to access USPS facility
