About The Position

This position, reporting to the Department Manager, is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving. The Warehouse Supervisor ensures customer needs are met through efficient product and material movement in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Requirements

  • Capability to read and write job instructions in the specified acceptable language(s) for the location.
  • Able to work under deadline pressures.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, adaptable to change.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Must demonstrate the basic operation of powered industrial trucks.
  • Must be forklift certified by an approved Refresco trainer.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management software for tracking inventory and logistics.
  • Proficient in SAP, Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Ability to analyze data and process parameters to optimize production.
  • Participation in safety audits and inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Proven leadership and ability to develop employees.

Nice To Haves

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Food/beverage manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with food quality and food safety guidelines per Refresco, Customer, and/or governing bodies (e.g., SQF) standards.
  • Lead and direct the work of other employees, with authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions.
  • Establish priorities and direct the loading workforce to satisfy customer demands.
  • Plan and execute logistic needs with trucking firms to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of shipments while minimizing freight cost.
  • Implement and enforce processes aimed at creating maximum inventory consistency and accuracy.
  • Review and resolve operational problems to minimize cost and prevent operational delays.
  • Manage assigned business metrics/budgets including yield, labor efficiency, and overhead expenses.
  • Demonstrate leadership to warehouse employees to ensure consistent quality of work.
  • Maintain effective communication of expectations and goals throughout the Warehouse environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all OHSA and environmental regulatory and corporate standards, investigating and identifying root causes of any non-compliance.
  • Accountable for a safe working environment through the development of strategies focused on accident reduction and energy and waste minimization.
  • Oversee effective deployment of human resources throughout the department and ensure correct administration of the collective Bargaining Agreement, when applicable.
  • Be a certified forklift trainer.
  • Act as backup to Department Manager responsibilities.
  • Represent the company in a positive manner at all times.
