About The Position
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations by managing and motivating warehouse employees, leading by example, and fostering a positive team-building atmosphere. They will supervise, measure, and continuously improve all inbound, outbound, and internal inventory movement.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years successfully supervising a warehouse team of 10+
- Proficient in Microsoft suite
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership and conflict resolution skills
- Critical thinker with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with Customer Service, Procurement, Traffic and other teams as required
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor/Associates degree in Logistics, Business or related field a plus
- Warehouse Management software, WMS, TMS and Oracle experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Ensure a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards and adhering to operational procedures.
- Supervision, training, and direction of warehouse operations including picking/packing, shipping, receiving, put away, and inventory control functions.
- Leading by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed.
- Assist in setting controls, monitor operating capacity, and adjust work assignments to fulfill commitments to meet overall operational goals and objectives.
- Drive an efficient and motivated workforce by providing effective coaching, feedback, and encouragement.
- Meet, measure, and report KPI’s to Operations Manager on scheduled cadence.
- Responsible to help oversee the Warehouse in the absence of the Warehouse Manager.
- Assist in leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in implementing lean ideas and 5S activities.
- Support Manager of Warehouse Operations in maintaining expenses in line with Annual Operating Plan.
